Angel Sapp
Office Manager
Financial Coordinator
Angel was raised in West Columbus and graduated from Bishop Ready High School. She then went on to earn her Bachelor’s Degree in Business Administration and Marketing from Franklin University.
Angel has been in the dental field since 1998 and has been with the Gentle Family Dental Care Team since 2000.
Angel lives in Grove City. She has three children: Paige, Vennie and Victoria. She also has four grandchildren.
Angel enjoys being outside, relaxing by her pool and spending time with her family.

Kelly Taylor
Insurance Coordinator
Kelly was raised in Grove City, where she attended Central Crossing High School and South-Western Career Academy for dental assisting. Kelly has worked in the dental field since 2010. Kelly joined Gentle Family Dental care in 2019 and has been a great addition to the team!
Kelly now lives in Commercial Point with her husband, two daughters, two dogs, and two cats..
She loves to spend her free time going camping and attending concerts. She also enjoys visiting new places.

Missy Shaw
Patient Coordinator
Missy grew up in Fostoria, OH and is the youngest out of 3 sisters. She graduated from Hopewell-Loudon High School then moved to Columbus, OH. Missy attended The Ohio State University School of Cosmology School receiving her license in 2005.
Her next journey was into the dental field, graduating from Ohio Institute of Health Careers with a Dental Assisting Verification in 2008. Missy was a dental assistant for 5 years and decided to move to the front desk FOR administration work. She joined the GFDC team in 2021.
Missy is married and has a dog that she enjoys spending her free time with. Her favorite activities are spending time with friends, working out and being outside preferably by a pool or lake.

Amy Bishop
Hygiene Coordinator
Amy was raised in Ann Arbor, MI and then attended High School in Colorado Spring, CO. Her previous career as a Travel Agent brought her to Ohio in 1998.
Deciding to change careers, Amy graduated Dental Assisting school in 2013. She joined our GFDC team in 2018.
Amy lives in Grove City with her husband, John, and their teenage daughter, Hope.
She enjoys spending time with her friends and family. She also loves her animals and traveling. Most of her free time is spent attending her daughter’s many sporting events and involvements which she truly enjoys.

Janie Motts
EFDA
Janie is a Columbus native. She graduated from Hamilton Township High School and the Eastland Career Center where she studied Dental Assisting. She has been working in the dental setting since she was 17 yrs. old. In 2015 Janie attended The Ohio State University, where she earned her EFDA Certification.
She currently resides in Grove City with her husband, Zachary and 1 yr. old son, Harrison. They have 2 rescue dogs, Scarlett and Brutus. Janie is also an avid horseback rider and has three of her own that she shows and goes trail riding with.

Allison Post
EFDA
Allison is the newest addition to Gentle Family Dental Care Team. She has a great attitude and is very caring which makes her a great fit for out practice.
After becoming a certified dental assistant, she knew she wanted to further her career by doing more one on one patient care. In 2015 she attended Case Western Reserve University in Cleveland and received her expanded functions license. Building personal relationships and making patients comfortable is her Ultimate goal while restoring teeth back to their beauty.
In Allison ‘s free time she enjoys cooking new recipes, going to restaurants, and music concerts. She also loves visiting Chicago often to see her precious niece.

Cherie Slaughter
EFDA
Cherie lived in Baltimore, MD. She moved to Columbus in 1987. She then went on to earn her Certified Expanded Function Certificate from The Ohio State University in 1989.
Cherie is a mother of two, B.J and Jewel. She as well has seven grandchildren.
Cherie likes to travel and read. She also enjoys spending time with her family.

Amanda Gates
EFDA
Amanda waws born and raised on the Westside of Columbus. She received her Expanded Function Dental Assistant from Then Ohio State University in 2007. She has been a part of the GFDC Team since 2003.
Amanda loves meeting and making lasting relationships with her patients. She enjoys spending time with her grown son, family and friends.

Kelly Walker
Hygenist
Kelly graduated from Cuyahoga Community College in 1995 with a degree of Associate of Applied Science-Dental Hygiene. In 2000 Kelly became a Licensed Massage Therapist after studying at the Ohio College of Massotherapy. She enjoys incorporating massage techniques with dental care to improve patient relaxation and comfort. In 2004 Kelly joined the Gentle Family Dental Care Team.
In her free time Kelly is an avid bibliophile, enjoys gardening and visiting her family in her hometown of La Grange, Ohio.

Melissa J. Wohrle
Hygienist
Melissa has been a full-time Dental Hygienist with our staff since 1995. She graduated from The Ohio State University in 1995 with a Bachelor’s Degree in Dental Hygiene, and a specialization in Health Science.
Melissa grew up in West Columbus and graduated from Bishop Ready High School.
She lives in Eastern Franklin County with her two sons, William and John. William graduated from The Ohio State University Magna Cum Laude, and is pursing a law degree. John is looking forward to graduating, and pursuing a military profession.
Melissa enjoys gardening and concerts.

Kathryn Davies
Hygienist
Kathryn is a registered dental hygienist who grew up in Minnesota, before finding her way to Columbus in 2011. Once in Columbus, she attended Columbus State as well as Ohio State University in order to earn her degree in applied science in dental hygiene. She joined our team at Gentle Family Dental Care in April 2017.
As a child Kathryn had a fear of the dentist. This lead her to understand the importance of feeling trust and security of your provider while in the dental chair. One of the most rewarding parts of being a hygienist for Kathryn is being able to recognize this apprehension and allowing patients to feel at ease with her patience and compassion towards their fear.
In her spare time Kathryn enjoys spending time outside, traveling and adventuring around new restaurants in her neighborhood in the Short North.
