Meet the Staff
Angel Sapp – Practice Manager & Financial Coordinator
Angel was raised in West Columbus and graduated from Bishop Ready High School. She then went on to earn her Bachelor’s Degree in Business Administration and Marketing from Franklin University.
Angel has been in the dental field since 1998 and has been with the Gentle Family Dental Care Team since 2000. She enjoys building relationships with her patients and helping them love their Smile!
Angel lives in Grove City. She has three adult children: Paige, Vennie and Victoria. She also has seven grandchildren!
Angel enjoys being outside, relaxing by her pool and spending time with her family.
Jennifer Minor – Hygiene Coordinator
Jennifer was born and raised in Columbus, Ohio. She graduated from Westland High School and attended Technical School where she received her Dental Assisting certification and Radiology License in 2002. She now has over 23 years in the field and has made a Great addition to GFDC!
Jennifer lives in Commercial Point with her husband Chris, two adult children Macayla & Cohen and her bully pup Harlow.
Outside of work Jennifer likes spending time with her friends and family making memories. She enjoys concerts, boating, traveling and trying new restaurants. Oh, and shopping!
Kim Couch – Insurance Coordinator
Kim was born and raised in Erie, PA. She moved to Central Ohio almost 28 years ago. She started her dental career as an assistant in 2009. After several years she decided to branch out into the administrative side of dentistry. She worked in multiple positions over the years including front desk, treatment coordinator, and even management and consulting. She has found, however, that her niche is in billing, which is what brought her to GFDC. She joined our team in 2024 as the Billing and Claims Coordinator. She thinks that is a challenging but rewarding position!
Kim has 3 beautiful grown daughters and the best dog ever…Charlie!!! Kim and her husband love the sunshine and traveling to the Caribbean. They hope to do lots more of it in the upcoming years! When at home, she loves taking walks, shopping and spending time with family and friends.
Savannah Soos – Patient Coordinator
Savannah was born and raised in Buffalo, New York. She entered the dental field at age 16 when she began working as a patient service representative at a dental office in her hometown. She graduated from Kenmore East Senior High School before moving to Columbus to attend The Ohio State University. After graduating with a dual Bachelor of Arts degree in Criminology and Psychology, Savannah returned to work in dentistry before joining the Gentle Family Dental Care team in December 2022. Her favorite part about working in dentistry is getting to collaborate with patients on making their dental treatment a reality!
In her free time, Savannah loves to visit new places and spend quality time with family and friends. She also enjoys traveling, taking walks outside, reading, and attending music festivals.
Kristen Byers – Patient Coordinator
Kristen was born and raised in a rural town in Ohio. In 2021 she and her dog, Asa, moved to Columbus to live with her longtime boyfriend Kenn. It took some time to adjust to city life, however now she feels that this is where she is meant to be.
Kristen has been in the dental field since 2019. She joined the Gentle Family Dental Family in 2024. She has been an Amazing addition to the Team!
In her free time, she enjoys reading, going to concerts and conventions. She loves to cook and spend time with her friends.
Jenna Mears – Patient Coordinator
Jenna was born and raised in Lima, Ohio. She moved to Columbus to attend The Ohio State University where she graduated with her Bachelor’s Degree in Fashion Merchandising and Retail Management in 2013.
She began her career in the dental field in 2017 before joining Gentle Family Dental Care in February of 2025. She has been a Great addition to the team!
In her free time, she enjoys travleing and exploring new restaurants in Columbus with fiends. She also loves spending time with her two cats, Charlie and Nola.
Janie Motts – EFDA
Janie was born and raised in Columbus, she graduated from Hamilton Township High School and Eastland Career Center where she studied dental assisting. In 2015, Janie attended The Ohio State University where she earned her EFDA certification. Janie is a seasoned Expanded Functions Dental Auxiliary (EFDA) with over 13 years of experience in the dental field.
She joined Gentle Family Dental Care in 2019. Janie is a vital member of the GFDC team, bringing her specialized skills and dedication to every patient interaction and continually striving to deliver outstanding dental care
Throughout her career she has enjoyed building relationships with patients while educating and encouraging them to be passionate about their oral health.
Outside of the office, Janie enjoys spending time outdoors with family and friends and is an avid animal lover. She also has a passion for painting, which allows her to express her creativity and unwind.
Montana Decker – EFDA
Montana was born and raised in Columbus. She graduated from Amanda Clear Creek High School. She earned her EFDA certification from Sinclair community college in Dayton, OH. She joined GFDC in 2023.
Montana loves helping people improve their smile and oral health. She enjoys getting to know her patients and building a professional relationship with them.
Montana enjoys spending time outside and finding new things to do with her daughter, Kaydence. They also enjoy shopping.
Makayla Johnson – EFDA
Makayla was born and raised in New Lexington Ohio. She graduated from New Lexington. She then went to earn her EFDA certification from Owens Community College. She has been in the dental field for 6 years.
We were lucky to have Makayla join the GFDC Family in 2023. Her favorite part of the dental field is helping patients get their smile back!
She lives in New Lexington with her husband Zach and 3 children Charlie, Noah and Blake. In her off time, she enjoys being with her family, going shopping and being outdoors!
Mason Gabriel – EFDA
Mason was born and raised in Columbus, Ohio. He graduated from Marion Franklin High School. He went on to get his EFDA training from Sinclair community college.
Mason joined Gentle Family Dental Care in 2025. He has been an Amazing addition to our team!
His favorite part about being in the dental field is helping people regain the confidence to smile again. In his spare time, he likes any sports and spending time outdoors with friends and family.
Emily Linn – EFDA
Emily was born and raised in Thornville, Ohio. She graduated from Sheridan High School. She then attended Central Ohio Technical College where she earned her EFDA certification. Emily has over 6 years of dental experience.
Emily joined the GFDC Team in 2024 and has been a Great and has been an Amazing addition. Emily loves helping people better their smile and interacting with her patients.
She lives in Thornville with her husband Brandt and her daughter Brynlee and they have three dogs.
Emily enjoys spending time with family and friends, being outdoors and spending time on their farm where they raise beef cattle and chickens.
Melissa J. Wohrle – Hygienist
Melissa has been a full-time Dental Hygienist with our staff since 1995. She graduated from The Ohio State University in 1995 with a Bachelor’s Degree in Dental Hygiene, and a specialization in Health Science.
Melissa grew up in West Columbus and graduated from Bishop Ready High School.
She lives in Eastern Franklin County with her two sons, William and John. William graduated Magna Cum Laude and is pursuing a law degree. John is looking forward to graduating and pursuing a military profession.
Melissa enjoys gardening and concerts.
Kelly Walker – Hygienist
Kelly graduated from Cuyahoga Community College in 1995 with a degree of Associate of Applied Science-Dental Hygiene. In 2000 Kelly became a Licensed Massage Therapist after studying at the Ohio College of Massotherapy. She enjoys incorporating massage techniques with dental care to improve patient relaxation and comfort. In 2004 Kelly joined the Gentle Family Dental Care Team.
In her free time Kelly is an avid bibliophile, enjoys gardening and visiting her family in her hometown of La Grange, Ohio.
Alyssa McCabe – Hygienist
Alyssa is from a small town in central Ohio and graduated in 2018 from Sheridan High School. After graduating high school, she attended Hocking College to earn a degree of Applied Science in Dental Hygiene. She always knew she wanted to work in the medical field and decided the dental route was the best for her. Alyssa joined the GFDC Team in 2021 and has been a great addition.
Alyssa is still living in the area with her baby son, Greyson, and her boyfriend Alex. She spends her time trying new coffee shops and shopping with her friends. She also enjoys taking her son out for new experiences and trying new restaurants.
Cassidy Barnett – Hygienist
Cassidy was born and raised in perry County Ohio. She graduated in 2016 from New Lexington High School. She then went on to attend Hocking College where she earned her degree in Dental Hygiene.
Cassidy joined the Gentle Family Dental Care in 2024. She has been a Great addition to the GFDC family. She loves building relationships with her patients and loves being in the dental community.
In her free time outside the office, she enjoys spending time with her family and her daughter Callie who is 7. She loves the outdoors, coffee and shopping.
