About Us Meet The Staff CHERIE SLAUGHTER Cherie grew up in Baltimore, MD. She moved to Columbus in 1987. She attended Ohio State University in 1988 and became an expanded function assistant. She joined our team in 2006. Cherie has two children named Benniel (B.J.) and Jewel. They are both in college. Cherie loves to read and play bingo. |  |
PATTY MORRIELLO Patty moved to Columbus coming from Ashtabula, Ohio with her husband, Joe, and daughter Karla. Karla is following in her mother’s footsteps in dental hygiene. Patty has another daughter, Keriann, who is going to be a dental assistant. Patty has been in the dental field for over 30 years and as a dental hygienist since 1991. She joined our dental team in 2003. Patty enjoys gardening, ceramics and spending time with her children as well as her dog Mazie. |  |
KELLY MARKS  Kelly graduated from Cuyahoga Community College in 1995 with a degree of Associate of Applied Science-Dental Hygiene. In 2000 Kelly became a Licensed Massage Therapist after studying at the Ohio College of Massotherapy. She enjoys incorporating massage techniques with dental care to improve patient relaxation and comfort. In 2004 Kelly joined the Gentle Family Dental Care Team and became a full time employee one year later.
Kelly and her husband Chris, natives of a small town west of Cleveland, moved to the Columbus Area in 2000. Their family includes nephews Zachary, Seth and Mason. Kelly and Chris enjoy working on their home, camping, hiking, and spoiling The Bean Dog.
GAIL RISHER  Gail was born and raised in Canton, Ohio. She married her husband Scott and moved to Columbus in 1978.
Gail worked as a legal secretary in downtown Columbus before staying home to raise two children. Son Alan is a student at Kent State University and is a member of the U.S. Coast Guard. Daughter Hannah will be attending Bowling Green State University. Gail has been a member of our dental team since 2004. She enjoys family time, reading mystery novels, playing tennis, and Lake Erie boating.
AMANDA GATES Amanda has been a great addition to our practice as of mid-2003. Her cheerful, caring attitude has fit right in with our team. She was born and raised in West Columbus. She graduated from West High School and received her Certified Dental Assistant certificate from Columbus Paraprofessional Institute. Amanda loves to spend time with her son, Grayson. She also likes to bike, roller blade and fix up her house. |  |
MELISSA WOHRLE  Melissa has been a full-time Dental Hygienist with our staff since 1995. She graduated from Ohio State University in 1995 with a Bachelor’s Degree in Dental Hygiene, and a specialization in Health Science.
Melissa grew up in West Columbus and graduated from Bishop Ready High School. She is now a country girl in northern Delaware county with her husband, Bill, and two sons Billy and John. Melissa has several hobbies, including boating and coaching youth cheerleading, as well as supporting her sons in all of their sports.
ANGEL SAPP  Angel was raised in West Columbus and graduated from Bishop Ready High School. She then went on to earn her Bachelor’s Degree in Business Administration and Marketing from Franklin University.
Angel has been in the dental field since 1998 and has been with our team as the Financial Coordinator since 2000. Angel lives in Grove City with her husband Tony and their four children: Vinny, Victoria, Paige, and Tony. Angel enjoys spending time with her family, attending all of her children’s sporting events and playing sports in her (minimal!) free time.
JOAN TILLERY  Joni was born, raised and resides in West Columbus. A self-described “spectacular student”, she graduated from Bishop Ready and Paul C. Hayes technical school before beginning her career in the dental field.
She worked as a dental assistant for 30 years before joining our team in 1998 as Insurance Coordinator and Business Administrator. Joni also worked as a customer service representative for an insurance company for a year, and another year as a cashier in “the cage” of the Navy Exchange. Joni has always enjoyed reading, music, people and family.
MARIE CHOATE  Marie is one of four children including her twin sister, Tammie. Her father was in the Air Force, so she and her family moved all around the world until they settled in Ohio in 1972.
Marie attended Hamilton Township Schools and graduated from Eastland Career Center in dental assisting. Marie is trained and licensed as an Expanded Function Dental Auxiliary. She has been part of our team since 1991. Marie lives in Utica with her husband Joe and their son Tyler. They attend Croten Church of Christ. Marie loves spending time with her family as well as bowling, biking, gardening and anything outdoors. She truly enjoys meeting people.
CAROL HINTON Carol was born and raised in West Virginia. She graduated from John Marshall High School in Glendale, West. Virginia. She moved to Ohio in 1977 where she worked as a chiropractic assistant for 21 years. Carol joined our dental team in 2000 as a business administrator. Carol enjoys NASCAR; gardening and spending time with her husband Jim and their family. |  |
