Angel was raised in West Columbus and graduated from Bishop Ready High School. She then went on to earn her Bachelor’s Degree in Business Administration and Marketing from Franklin University.
Angel has been in the dental field since 1998 and has been with our team as the Financial Coordinator since 2000.
Angel lives in Grove City. She has three children: Paige, Vennie and Victoria. She also has two grandchildren.
Angel enjoys spending time with her family, attending all of her children’s sporting events and playing sports in her (minimal!) free time.
Stacy Corbin Front Office Coordinator
Stacy grew up in Galloway and graduated from Westland High School. She has one daughter, Ava, who she loves to spend time with and enjoys watching her play basketball.
Stacy has been in the dental field since high school when she began working as a Dental Assistant at her uncle’s practice in Mechanicsburg each summer. She attended Ohio Institute of Health Careers to obtain her CODA (Certified Ohio Dental Assistant) and Dental Radiography certifications. Over the years, she has moved from a clinical role to specializing in front office coordination.
Spending time with her family, laughing, and exploring the outdoors are a few of Stacy’s favorite hobbies.
Carol Hinton Patient Coordinator
Carol was born in West Virginia, where she graduated from John Marshall High School in Glendale, West Virginia.
She moved to Ohio in 1977 and worked as a chiropractic assistant for 21 years. Carol joined our dental team in 2000 as a Hygiene Coordinator.
Carol and her husband Jim enjoy spending time with their family. She also enjoys NASCAR, football and gardening
Gail Risher Patient Coordinator
Gail was born and raised in Canton, Ohio. She married her husband Scott and moved to Columbus in 1978.
Gail worked as an executive and legal secretary in downtown Columbus for many years before staying home to raise her two children..….son Alan and daughter Hannah.
Gail has been a valued member of our dental team since 2004. She enjoys playing tennis, reading mystery novels, Lake Erie boating and most of all, spending time with her family!
Amanda Gates EFDA
Amanda has been a great addition to our practice as of mid-2003. Her cheerful, caring attitude has fit right in with our team.
She was born and raised in West Columbus. She graduated from West High School and received her Certified Expanded Functions certificate from The Ohio State University.
Amanda loves to spend time with her son, Grayson. She also likes to bike, read and work around the house.
Bridget Jacob EFDA
Bridget grew up in Grove City with her parents and one brother. She has one son, Adam, who keeps her quite busy with his hobbies.
She has been in the dental field for 17 years. She graduated in 1999, with her assisting career starting in 2011. She attended The Ohio State University to receive her Expanded Function Dental Assisting license. She joined our practice in 2014.
She still resided in Grove City, Ohio. She enjoys reading, college football and watching her son skateboard. She also enjoys kayaking and camping as often as possible.
Cherie Slaughter EFDA
Cherie grew up in Baltimore, MD. She moved to Columbus in 1987.
She attended The Ohio State University in 1988 and became an expanded function assistant. She joined our team in 2006.
Cherie has two children named Benniel (B.J.) and Jewel and four grandchildren.
Cherie loves to read and to travel. She also enjoys spending time with her grandkids.
Marie Choate EFDA
Marie is one of four children including her twin sister, Tammie. Her father was in the Air Force, so she and her family moved all around the world until they settled in Ohio in 1972.
Marie attended Hamilton Township Schools and graduated from Eastland Career Center in dental assisting. Marie is trained and licensed as an Expanded Function Dental Auxiliary. She has been part of our team since 1991.
Marie lives in Utica with her husband Joe and their son Tyler. They attend Granville Baptist Church.
Marie loves spending time with her family as well as bowling, gardening and anything outdoors. She truly enjoys meeting people.
Kelly Marks Hygienist
Kelly graduated from Cuyahoga Community College in 1995 with a degree of Associate of Applied Science-Dental Hygiene. In 2000 Kelly became a Licensed Massage Therapist after studying at the Ohio College of Massotherapy. She enjoys incorporating massage techniques with dental care to improve patient relaxation and comfort. In 2004 Kelly joined the Gentle Family Dental Care Team and became a full time employee one year later.
Kelly and her husband Chris, natives of a small town west of Cleveland, moved to the Columbus Area in 2000. Their family includes nephews Zachary, Seth and Mason. Kelly and Chris enjoy working on their home, camping, hiking, and spoiling The Bean Dog.
Leah Drake Hygienist
Leah grew up in Marysville, Ohio and graduated from Marysville High School. After graduation, she attended the University of Cincinnati and earned her Associate’s of Applied Science in Dental Hygiene.
Leah has been a Dental Hygienist since 2010, and joined our team in January 2014.
She now lives downtown Columbus. In her free time, she loves to stay active by exercising regularly and spending time outdoors. She also enjoys traveling several times a year with friends and family.
Melissa J. Wohrle Hygienist
Melissa has been a full-time Dental Hygienist with our staff since 1995. She graduated from Ohio State University in 1995 with a Bachelor’s Degree in Dental Hygiene, and a specialization in Health Science.
Melissa grew up in West Columbus and graduated from Bishop Ready High School.
She lives in Northern Delaware County with her husband, Bill, and two sons Billy and John.
Melissa has several hobbies, including boating and PTO activities. She currently is the President of her Community Area Youth Baseball Association.
Samantha grew up in the small town of Crestline Ohio. She attended Owens community college in Toledo and earned her Associates of applied science in dental hygiene.
Sam has been a hygienist since 2012. She joined our practice in Jan. 2016.
She now lives in Powell with her husband Justin and their two dogs . Sam enjoys spending time with family and friends in her spare time.
